DeWitt Law Firm Receives Orlando Police Department Good Citizenship Award
The DeWitt Law Firm was honored and humbled to receive the Orlando Police Department’s Good Citizenship Award. As a member of the central Florida community, we are grateful to be able to give back to the society that supports us. This year, we were fortunate to be able to support Tough Biker Orlando.
Founded in 2014 by Orlando Police bike officer Mark Levy, Tough Biker is an urban mountain bike challenge through city streets, public parks, and parking garages. They’re committed to supporting at-risk youth through the sport of mountain biking. The goal is to provide an experience where kids can learn a skill and a creative form of recreation. Not only do children get to discover new bike tricks, but they also learn how to repair their bikes.
Last year, we were honored to support their Fallen Officer Memorial Ride, a group ride that honors fallen police officers and supports the Fallen Officer Memorial in Washington, D.C. The memorial in D.C. commemorates those officers who have died in the line of duty.
Thanks to our involvement with this particular event, the Orlando Police Department awarded us their Good Citizenship Award. The Good Citizenship Award is an honor that our local officers give to those who are making a difference in their own way. Receiving this award is the ultimate recognition of the dedication every member of our staff has to our community.
But our work isn’t finished yet. We will again be supporting the 2020 Fallen Officer Memorial Ride on Sunday, Jan. 12! For more information on how you can get involved, visit ToughBiker.com for more details.
