Relocation After Divorce in the State of Florida
If you’re married, with children, and are going through a divorce, you many not move the children from more than a 50 mile radius without your spouses written approval or a court order. If you do so, this can be very detrimental to your relationship with the court and with your children. There is a process, a statutory process, that you must follow in order to get permission to move outside of the 50 mile radius. This 50 mile radius is not measured by the roads, but rather as you would measure by a compass as the crow flies. So if you have any questions about whether or not you are permitted to move, consult with your lawyer to go through all the circumstances of your case. Do not move without getting permission from your attorney and following the proper procedures.
