Atiya Clarke is a dedicated family law attorney, wife, mother, and proud Central Florida native. With deep roots in the local community and a strong Jamaican heritage, she brings compassion, understanding, and determination to every client she serves.
Mrs. Clarke earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of Florida, where she also minored in Education. She later obtained a Master of Science degree in Mathematics Education from Florida State University before returning to the University of Florida to earn her Juris Doctor from the Levin College of Law.
Before becoming an attorney, Mrs. Clarke spent several years as an educator, teaching mathematics at both the high school and college levels. She taught courses ranging from Algebra and Geometry to remedial college mathematics, helping students develop confidence and problem-solving skills. Her background in education shaped her ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively—an ability that continues to benefit her clients today.
While attending law school, Mrs. Clarke distinguished herself as the National Champion of the Black Law Students Association International Negotiation Competition, demonstrating the advocacy and negotiation skills that have become hallmarks of her legal career.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Clarke has practiced in a variety of legal areas, including family law, probate, estate planning, workers’ compensation, Social Security Disability, and Veterans Disability matters. Today, her primary focus is family law, an area she is especially passionate about because of the meaningful impact it has on the lives of individuals and families.
As an Attorney with DeWitt Law Firm, Mrs. Clarke represents clients in all aspects of family law, including divorce, paternity, timesharing, child support, alimony, modifications, and domestic violence injunctions. She is committed to helping clients navigate difficult transitions with confidence, dignity, and practical solutions.
Outside the office, Mrs. Clarke enjoys tutoring students of all ages and playing soccer whenever time allows.
