Bart Vickers, originally from Jacksonville, Florida, is an accomplished trial attorney with a diverse legal background. Bart’s Family has served Floridians in the legal field for over a century, and he proudly supported his Sister, Melissa Vickers, as the First Female Public Defender for the Ninth judicial Circuit. After earning his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida, Bart pursued his Juris Doctor at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. While in law school, he excelled in Mock Trial and Moot Court competitions, clerked for Circuit Court Judge Donna M. Fields, and served on the Student Bar Association.
Bart’s early experiences solidified his passion for advocating for those in need and navigating complex legal issues. Upon graduating in 2006, Bart began his career as an Assistant Public Defender in Orange County, gaining invaluable trial experience representing indigent clients. He later joined a prominent Orlando criminal defense firm, followed by Florida’s largest Civil Defense Firm, where he quickly rose to Partner, supervising and training many Associate Attorneys. Bart then joined a small Personal Injury Firm to return to his service of individuals injured by no fault of their own. Bart’s Practice has spanned personal injury, wrongful death, criminal defense, and insurance litigation. With numerous cases tried to verdict, he’s represented a range of clients, from corporations and family-owned businesses to individuals facing life-altering challenges. His dedication to mentorship and high standards has helped shape the next generation of attorneys in Central Florida. Committed to serving his community, Bart has worked with the Legal Aid Society, the Orange County Bar Association, and local schools. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, traveling, watching Gator sports, and spending time with his wife and two children. Bart is honored to bring his wealth of experience and sense of service to DeWitt Law Firm and JustCallMoe Injury & Accident Attorneys, guiding clients through life’s most challenging moments.
